Jordan has easily become one of my FAVORITE countries! I loved it so, so, so much! I never once felt unsafe. The Jordanian people were so welcoming and some of the most hospitable people I have ever met. I did hire a private driver for my time in Jordan. I gave him the itinerary and he provided drivers every day for a VERY fair price. I found him through forums on Trip Advisor!

After spending a week in Egypt, I traveled into Jordan by land through it’s southern border with Israel. I started in Wadi Rum and traveled north to Amman over the course of several days.

The itinerary:

Day 1
Check into Memories Aicha Luxury Camp in Wadi Rum
Jeep Desert Safari
Dinner and shisha at the camp

Day 2
Up early for sunrise photos
Breakfast at the camp
2 hour drive to Petra with our private driver
Visit Little Petra

Stayed 2 nights at the Movenpick in Petra

Day 3
Petra ALL day

**I know I will get some comments asking how I got these photos with no people so here is my advice. We started at the back entrance to Petra at opening time. We paid a driver to take us to the back entrance for about 10 JD each. By going to the back entrance you will reach the Monastery first. We were literally the first people there so we got to take several photos with no people in them. We hung out at the cafe outside the monastery for several hours soaking it in, having snacks and smoking shisha. Over the next couple of hours, we made our way down to the Treasury. We then paid a Bedouin 10 JD to take us to “the best view of Petra.” Those are the pictures that you see from up above. From that view point you cannot see all the people down below in your photos. We stayed in front of the Treasury until closing time as all the tourists were leaving. After they were all gone we snagged tons of pictures until getting yelled at by a security guard to leave! Gotta do what you gotta do lol**

Dinner at the Cave Bar right outside of Petra

Day 4
Up early and transfer to Wadi Mujib and hike the Siq trail.

** I cannot stress enough that this is a MUST DO. It was amazing!! I do suggest hiring a guide as there can be some treacherous spots on the hike and they help you get through them safely. If I did not have a guide I probably would have turned around in multiple spots**

Bethany Beyond the Jordan (Jesus’ baptism site)
Dead Sea for sunset

** We bought a day pass from the Movenpick on the Dead sea**

Day 5
Amman city (The Citadel & Amphitheater)
Jerash (Ancient Ruins)
