Hello again ladies! 👋🏼 A few weeks ago I posted pictures and an itinerary from my recent trip to Egypt. I promised that I would also post photos and my itinerary that I created for Jordan – so here it is!
Jordan has easily become one of my FAVORITE countries! I loved it so so so much! 💕 I never once felt unsafe. I traveled with another GLT pal and we did not have a guide or a man with us and we were just fine! The Jordanian people were so welcoming and seriously the most hospitable people I have ever met.
We did hire a private driver for our time in Jordan. We gave him our itinerary and he provided drivers every day for a VERY fair price. If you would like his personal contact information I can provide that in a comment or a message as I’m unsure if it is allowed to be posted here.
The itinerary:
Day 1:
-Transfer from Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt to Wadi Rum, Jordan
-Check in to Memories Aicha Luxury Camp
-Desert Safari
-Dinner and shisha at the camp
Day 2:
-Up early for sunrise and photos
-Breakfast at the camp
-2 hour drive to Petra with our private driver
-Little Petra
-Dinner and exploring around the city
-Stayed 2 nights at the Movenpick in Petra
Day 3:
-Petra ALL day
I know I will get some comments asking how I got these photos with no people so here is my advice. We started at the back entrance to Petra at opening time. We paid a driver to take us to the back entrance for about 10 JD each. By going to the back entrance you will reach the Monastery first. We were literally the first people there so we got to take several photos with no people in them. We hung out at the cafe outside the monastery for several hours soaking it in, having snacks and smoking shisha. We then made our way over the next couple of hours down to the Treasury. We then paid a Bedouin 10 JD to take us to “the best view of Petra.” Those are the pictures that you see from up above….from that view point you cannot see all the people down below in your photos. We stayed in front of the Treasury until closing time as all the tourists were leaving. After they were all gone we snagged tons of pictures until getting yelled at by a security guard to leave 🤣🤷🏻♀️ Gotta do what you gotta do lol
-Ate at the Cave Bar right outside of Petra
Day 4:
-Up early and transfer to Wadi Mujib and hike the Siq trail.
** I cannot stress enough that this is a MUST DO. It was amazing!! I do suggest hiring a guide as there can be some treacherous spots on the hike and they help you get through them safely. If I did not have a guide I probably would have turned around in multiple spots**
-Bethany Beyond the Jordan
-Dead Sea for sunset
** We bought a day pass from the Movenpick on the Dead sea**
Day 5:
-Amman city (The Citadel & Amphitheater)
-Jerash (Ancient Ruins)
Let me know if you have any questions! I absolutely urge you to visit Jordan- it was incredible. ✨
**I did not hire a photographer. These photos were done by my travel buddy Taya Christian. Appreciate it boo. 😘
